Each preset is a whole imaging chain — barrel distortion and chromatic aberration from the lens, sensor noise, the era's noise reduction, the tone curve, then the JPEG artifacts on top. An iPhone 2G is soft and hazy. An iPhone 7 is sharp and punchy. They are not the same picture with a tint.
The camera UI you remember
The mode wheel, the shutter, the grid — laid out the way the camera app looked back then.
Live, not after the fact
The filter runs on the preview at camera speed, so you frame the shot you are actually going to get.
